The British Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists’ (BAPO) worked in partnership with Real Healthcare Solutions Ltd to develop a Leadership Programme entitled, Inspiring the future leaders in prosthetics and orthotics (P&O).
BAPO was successful in obtaining an educational grant from Health Educational England (HEE) to support the running of this programme. The funding is being used to implement a professional development programme to support the next generation of leaders in P&O.
The aim of the programme is to provide future healthcare leaders with an educational platform which fulfils their expectations from both an operational and strategic perspective.
During the programme BAPO helps delegates understand how leadership behaviours affect the culture and climate we work in for ourselves, our colleagues and our teams.
This report captures the experiences and learning at the launch event of the BAPO Leadership Programme which took place at the end of 2022.
