As you may know, The British Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists (BAPO) is organising the fourth ‘Prosthetists and Orthotists Day’ on 6th September 2024.
The awareness day aims to raise the profile of the two roles with both health and care professionals and the general public. The day will provide an opportunity for prosthetists and orthotists to celebrate their profession and the benefit these roles have for those patients who access the services they provide.
This year our theme is – Greener P&O – Sustainability in Prosthetics and Orthotics

NHS Education for Scotland (NES) are celebrating P&O Day and have activity planned throughout the day. The following is planned:
- Clare Carson is delivering an online DYW Live session to schools to promote careers in Prosthetics and Orthotics and this will be advertised on X
- We will be promoting and sharing P&O blog posts on the NHS Scotland careers site on facebook – NHS Education for Scotland and X @nesnmahp
- Promoting and sharing the new Prosthetics and Orthotics virtual reality videos on facebook (NHS education for Scotland) and X (@nesnmahp):
